The Principles of European Contract Law Parts I and II (hereinafter referred to as PECL I and II.) cover the core rules of contract, formation, authority of agents, validity, interpretation,, contents, performance, non-performance (breach) and remedies. The Principles previously published in Part I () are included in a revised and re. The Principles of European Contract Law (PECL) is a set of model rules drawn up by leading contract law academics in Europe. It attempts to elucidate basic rules of contract law and more generally the law of obligations which most legal systems of the member states of the European Union hold in common.

With the permission of the Commission on European Contract Law, the comments and notes to this PECL provision are presented below. The source of this material is Ole Lando & Hugh Beale eds., Principles of European Contract Law: Parts I and II, Kluwer Law International () , At the European level, the Principles of European Contract Law (PECL) are an increasingly important element of contract law, together with national contract law, .

This book is an attempt to draw such an outline of the principles of the law of Contract as may be useful to students, and, perhaps, convenient to those who are engaged in the teaching of law. Author tried to show how a contract is made, what is needed to make it binding, what its effect is, how its terms are interpreted, and how it is. Accordingly, the Fourth Edition of Principles of Insurance Law has been substantially rewritten, reformatted, and refocused in order to offer the insurance law student and practitioner a broad perspective of both traditional insurance law concepts and cutting-edge legal issues affecting contemporary insurance law theory and practice.
